Inverness Airport’s popular air link to Dublin is being reinstated for summer 2009 by operator Aer Arann. The service, which was launched in 2006, was suspended over the winter months following a route review by the airline. Aer Arann has confirmed that the route will operate from the end of March through to Oct-09.

Return flights from Inverness to Dublin from only GBP39 one way including tax will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays from 29-Mar until 05-Oct-09.

Inverness Airport Manager, Graeme Bell said: “Aer Arann’s Dublin service has always achieved good loads over the summer months and we are delighted to see it reinstated from the end of this month. The route is an important one for us, both in terms of supporting inbound tourism to the Highlands, especially during the Year of Homecoming, and enabling direct access to Ireland for business and leisure.

“Dublin also provides access to around 200 onward short and long haul air routes routes served by more than 70 airlines so it is a fantastic base from which to make global connections from the Highlands.”
