Travelport GDS and Air France KLM have jointly announced (21-Apr-09) a new, multi-year global distribution agreement which will see full content provided to all Galileo and Worldspan-connected users worldwide until Mar-2013
Travelport GDS’ Vice President of Airline Development, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Matthew Hall said, “We are delighted to have reached this agreement with Air France KLM and can guarantee full content to all of our travel agency customers for the next four years. The length of this new agreement, and the fact that it guarantees full content globally, will really give our travel agency customers a competitive edge. It is a further illustration of our ability to work with our airline partners and reach a situation that is beneficial to all those involved in the travel booking chain – the airline, ourselves, the travel agency customers, and, of course, the end traveller.”
VP Corporate & Distribution Air France KLM, Henri Hourcade commented: ”Travelport GDS, with its Galileo and Worldspan systems, is an important distribution partner for the sale of Air France and KLM flights and we are looking forward to working closely together over the coming years. The new agreement we have signed will enable us to give both Galileo and Worldspan users full global content until Mar-2013 and will further strengthen our position with those users."
The long-term agreement, which takes immediate effect, represents a continuation of Travelport GDS’ successful strategy of securing full content programmes across the globe.
