It is now even easier to travel with SAS Scandinavian Airlines, as the airline has introduced mobile boarding passes. This means SAS customers can now travel using only their mobile phone and with an ID card/passport.

As a result of a business transfer contract signed on 01-Jun-2009, SGS Finland, a SAS subsidiary responsible for ground services in Finland, will be transferred to ISS Palvelut. The entire personnel of SGS Finland, totalling 334 persons, will transfer to ISS Palvelut as existing employees. The business will transfer to ISS at the beginning of July.

Cybercom signed a framework agreement with SAS to deliver IT consultancy services. The agreement is for three years and covers the entire SAS Group and its operations in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.

The Chief Executive Board of Star Alliance, of which SAS Scandinavian Airlines is a founding member, has accepted the membership application of Aegean Airlines, the largest airline in Greece. This means SAS soon can offer its customers 28 new destinations in Greece. SAS currently operates 10 flights a week from both Copenhagen and Stockholm, which will connect smoothly to Aegean's wide network. Aegean's destinations include the islands of Corfu, Kefalonia, Kos, Mykonos, Rhodes and Santorini, amongst others.

Star Alliance, of which SAS Scandinavian Airlines is a proud founding member, has expanded its Conventions Plus offering beyond traditional conventions. For the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) industry, this means SAS and Star Alliance now also offers travel arrangements for major cultural and sporting events.
