Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) and United Airlines (Nasdaq: UAUA) today announced that Continental will move its Tokyo operations to the South Wing of Terminal 1 at Narita International Airport, effective Nov. 1, with Continental flights departing and arriving at the terminal's south gates and the check-in counter relocating to the South Wing main lobby.

The US Department of Transportation (DoT) proposed (07-Apr-09) to grant antitrust immunity to Continental Airlines for its participation in the Star Alliance, and to approve a new joint venture among four of the alliance’s members. Antitrust immunity allows airlines to coordinate their services and act as a single carrier for international air services covered by the immunity.
